about us

locally owned & operated

Eat, drink, and relax.  Right on the docks, Bar Harbor Ale House offers a view of the water and the mountains.  See our wall of beer taps with popular handcraft beers from Alaska and all over the country.  We change the offerings of beer constantly, so if you are a beer lover, come on down, and you can always try something new. Stay for our fantastic BBQ creations.  We have a menu that offers inventive dishes that are ale-infused and have a BBQ flair.  Imagine stepping in and ordering quinoa stuffed cherry tomatoes or smoked, bacon-wrapped jalapenos stuffed with brisket and cream cheese.  Each dish showcases the innovation of our chefs to create new, unique food that everyone will love and want to try again and again.  And we didn’t even mention the Ale House bread, jalapeno cheddar beer bread.

We are delighted to bring a new dining experience to the community of Ketchikan with live music some evenings, plenty of great food, and lots of laughter.  Everyone who comes to Bar Harbor is welcomed with a smile.  It is a community restaurant and ready to share everything it offers with every friend who steps through its doors.

last I heard

Bar Harbor may be new, but we are getting noticed.  We were recently featured on KPUtv’s Live in Ketchikan: Taste of Southeast. Reporter Alex Brown stopped by to see what makes Bar Harbor stand out.  She even got to watch as Bar Harbor Head Chef Derek Greiner cooked up our famous Ale House Bread.
